About Jack
Representing Ipswich in Parliament is the greatest privilege of my life.

I grew up in Suffolk, went to school here, and came back from university to live and work in our county. I know that the ambition of our politicians and government hasn’t always matched the ambition of ordinary working people here in Ipswich. Working with a Labour government, I’m determined to change that.
Before my election to Parliament, I worked as a teaching assistant at a local school and in the renewable energy sector. So, I know from first-hand experience the state that the previous Conservative government left our public services in, but I also know the great opportunities that the transition to net zero provides our town, if only we are bold enough to grasp them.
I have fought long running campaigns locally on issues such as special educational needs provision, mental health care, and standing up for workers’ rights. And, as Ipswich’s MP, I have got straight to work to deliver for local people in Westminster.
