Jack Abbott MP has praised Suffolk Constabulary and Suffolk Trading Standards for their swift action in seizing 400 illegal vapes in Ipswich, following the Government’s recent ban on single-use vapes.
Jack said:
“Huge credit to our local enforcement teams for acting so quickly. This isn’t just about upholding the law – it’s about protecting our children and cleaning up our communities.”
The operation is part of wider efforts to tackle the growing issue of vape-related litter and underage vaping. Disposable vapes have become a significant source of plastic and chemical waste, often discarded on streets and in public spaces.
Jack added:
“We’ve all seen the impact these products are having – from the flood of litter on our streets to the worrying rise in young people taking up vaping. I’ll keep working to make sure our town stays safe, clean and healthy.”
