11th July - Constable’s Masterpiece Comes Home to Suffolk

The Hay Wain has come home.

For the first time ever, this masterpiece is being displayed in Suffolk as part of the Constable 250 at Christchurch Mansion.

We should all be so proud that this iconic painting is back where it belongs, and I would urge you to go and see it. It is truly stunning.

Huge congratulations to every member of the Ipswich Museums team who worked so hard to make this happen, and to the National Gallery for their partnership. This is a special, special moment.
