Congratulations and thank you to all the wonderful people behind Ipswich Book Festival

Last weekend was such a massive success, with over 1,300 tickets sold for dozens of events in venues right across our town.

Jade and I dropped into a few of them and they were absolutely brilliant - we cannot wait for Chapter 2 next year.

Enormous credit to Cathy Frost, Emma Lightfoot, Tony Felgate and Andrew March who made this happen through their ambition, determination and creativity, alongside all the volunteers, sponsors and partners who helped get this off the ground.

A special mention too to Wendy and Tim Hodgson from WHAT associates for their outstanding branding and their photos - including these - which captured the weekend perfectly.

As I've said before, Ipswich's arts and culture scene is not just simmering away anymore, it's at boiling point, and our new book festival is going to be a fixture for years to come.
