13th November 2024 - Jack Abbott MP meets Minister for Local Government

On 13th November, along with MPs from Norfolk and Suffolk, I met with Jim McMahon, Minister of State for Local Government and English Devolution, to discuss the future of devolution in the East of England.

It follows my meeting with the Minister in October. I have been clear in meetings with Ministers and colleagues, both local and national, that a new devolution deal must be far more ambitious than what had been previously agreed by the previous government.
