I am absolutely delighted that new Government funding will mean that Christchurch Mansion - the iconic building at the heart of our town - can return to full open hours.

Our museums are at the heart of our cultural and community life. They tell the story of who we are, rooted in our sense of place and community, and looking ahead to a bold, creative future.

This new £125,000 investment will help ensure that people across Ipswich, Suffolk and the wider East of England can continue to access and celebrate our rich local heritage.

Supporting our museums is not just about preserving our past, it is about investing in the future of our towns and communities too.
