16th January - Jack Welcomes Government's New Road Safety Strategy

Too many families across the country and in Ipswich have had their lives changed forever by tragedies on our roads, and for too long the numbers have barely shifted.

I strongly welcome our Labour Government’s new Road Safety Strategy, a landmark plan which puts saving lives at the heart of transport policy.

It will protect the most vulnerable road users, make better use of new technology and raise standards across the system.

This strategy is about saying clearly that tragic losses on our roads are not inevitable.

That is why I am proud to support it.
