18th November 2024 - Jack Abbott MP meets Sizewell C apprentices

Being put through my paces by apprentices from Sizewell C and Hinkley Point

On 19th November, I met with the team from Sizewell C in Parliament, including some of the new apprentices who will directly benefit from the well-paid, secure, long-term jobs offered by the transition to net zero.

In October, I signed an agreement with Sizewell C to secure significant new funding for our town's colleges and charities, as well as 500 jobs for Ipswich residents. The great benefits offered by the transition to net zero and the Sizewell C project for Ipswich, Suffolk and Britain are clear to see- but we must be bold enough to grasp them.

The Government has set the ambition for Britain to become a world leader in the transition to net zero- and I want our town and our county to be at the very heart of that ambition, with working people in Ipswich reaping the benefits that come as a result.
