20th May- Jack Abbott Welcomes the new UK-EU Deal

The new UK-EU deal represents upgraded terms for our fishing industry.

It represents our third major international agreement in a fortnight after the deals with the US and India.

It is clear: by showing leadership on the world stage again and acting pragmatically in the national interest, we deliver for people and businesses back home.

Not only does it keep existing agreements in place on quotas and access, it also slashes red tape for exports, opens up the European market for shellfish producers, and injects £360 million into coastal communities.
