24th November - Meeting Business Leaders to Discuss the Local Economy and Budget

Ahead of the Budget, it was good to meet with leaders representing a range of sectors in Ipswich and Suffolk

It was a really constructive conversation, as we discussed the progress we have made locally, and what more we must to do to address the challenges that face us.

We covered a number of subjects, ranging from the City of Culture competition to inward investment, and I appreciated feedback regarding the wider business environment, both domestically and internationally.

What was striking was the collective determination in the room to take advantage of the opportunities before us. We know our potential, but we have to be ambitious enough to fulfil it.
