29th May - Jack Abbott Welcomes Suffolk Leaders to Parliament

I was delighted to welcome more than 40 leaders from Suffolk to Parliament and introduce them to senior members of our Government.

The Minister for Small Business, Blair McDougall, gave the keynote address, and we were also joined by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Darren Jones MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Lisa Nandy, and the Chair of the Energy Security & Net Zero Select Committee, Bill Esterson.

The event demonstrated the strength and diversity of our county, and the importance of direct engagement between our local organisations and Government.

It also an invaluable chance to highlight our Suffolk's enormously successful contribution to national growth and prosperity, but also the challenges that need to be tackled if we are to reach our potential.

A huge thank you to Suffolk Chamber of Commerce for helping bring together this great event.
