29th October 2024 - Jack Abbott MP meets the Ukrainian Ambassador

On 29th October 2024, I met the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, as he briefed Members of Parliament about the situation in Ukraine.

Ukraine is facing a tough winter, and the support of her allies – including the United Kingdom – must remain steadfast. I am pleased that the Prime Minister, the Foreign Secretary, and the Defence Secretary have all visited Ukraine since the General Election to pledge fresh support for Ukraine’s defence against Russian imperialism.

I also assured General Zaluzhnyi that we would continue to support the Ukrainian community in towns like Ipswich for as long as is needed.
