At the end of November, I met the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer at 10 Downing Street. I was recently elected as Chair of the Energy and Security and Net Zero Departmental Group, and I met the Prime Minister to discuss my new role.
I know the great opportunities that the transition to net zero can bring for Britain and for Suffolk. From energy independence from tyrants like Putin to slashing bills for working people, to the thousands of secure, well-paid jobs- there are so many opportunities out there, if only we are bold enough to grasp them.
I look forward to working with the Prime Minister and government to ensure working people here in Ipswich, Suffolk and across the country benefit from our ambitious plans.
