8th July - Jack Abbott Meets with Early Education Minister to Discuss Best Start Family Hubs

After years of brutal cuts, our Labour Government is rebuilding family support through Best Start Family Hubs.

In 2010, Suffolk had 47 children's centres, but by the time the Conservatives had finished, just 17 full-time centres were left.

As someone who led the campaign against the cuts, I feel proud that I am now part of a Government that is restoring these vital services.

However, while the first new Hub has been confirmed for Suffolk, I know we have to go much further.

That's why I met with Early Education Minister, Olivia Bailey, to discuss how we can expand and accelerate the rollout in our county.

I am absolutely determined that every family in Ipswich and Suffolk can access the support they need, irrespective of their postcode or circumstances.

That means more Best Start Family Hubs in every corner of our county.
