Behind every great artist is a first opportunity, a local venue, a rehearsal space, a teacher who encouraged them, or a community that supported them.

Labour’s Plan for Music is investing in the people and places that make British music thrive:

-£45 million Music Growth Package

-Support for grassroots venues and emerging artists

-More opportunities for young people

I'm proud to be part of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport team which has produced the 'Turn It Up' plan, which sets out government and industry action across 10 areas.

I'm also proud of Ipswich's thriving music scene - 'Turn It Up' will help support our local venues, artists and creative organisations so our town can continue to be one of the best places to create, perform, experience and invest in music.
