3rd July - Jack Abbott Thanks Hollie Ridley for Helping Get Labour into Government

As Hollie Ridley steps down as General Secretary of the Labour Party, I want to say thank you.

Hollie was a pillar of our General Election victory in 2024 – without her, there would be no Labour Government.

Rising through the ranks from a Trainee Organiser to General Secretary – including time as a Regional Director in the East of England – is a testament to her talent, political instincts and hard-work. She is exception at building a team, bringing people with her, and lowering down the ladder for others to climb up.

As well as being one of the best campaigners I have ever worked with, Hollie is fiercely loyal, endlessly kind, and utterly dedicated. I know many people feel the same way.

She has inspired me and so many others, and I will forever be thankful for her service to our party and country, but also for her friendship and leadership too.
