23rd April – Jack Abbott Welcomes Grimwades building being Acquired by Ipswich Council

For a decade, the Grimwades building on the corner of the Cornhill has

been left empty.


No longer.


Ipswich Borough Council have taken back control of one of the most iconic buildings on our high street.


This is an important step forward as we look to get our town centre back on its feet.


An iconic building in the centre of Ipswich is set for a new lease of life after being acquired by the borough council.


The former Grimwades building on the Cornhill, which has been unoccupied for more than 10 years, has been bought by Ipswich Borough Council - with new tenants to move in later this year.
