29th April - Jack Abbott Welcomes Crime Falling in Suffolk

I am encouraged by the figures which were announced today about crime in our county.

Crime fell last year and Suffolk is one of the safest areas in the country.

This aligns with what we have seen in Ipswich, with crime in our town falling to its lowest level since 2016.

However, there's still work to do with shoplifting and knife crime creeping up. While it is true that knife crime offences are more than half of what they were in 2017/18, we cannot be complacent - we know the devastating and tragic consequences.

Thank you to Suffolk Constabulary for their continued hard work and dedication.

9th May - Statement on Local Elections

There's no getting away from it, this was a tough election for the Labour Party across the country. In Ipswich, we took the fight to Reform and won a number of areas convincingly. Huge congratulatio
